My Hotel, And Tennessee!

Hi everyone! I'm in Tennessee! My first blog post ever out of state! Well, let's start with our rental car, shall we? It's a KIA Sportage. I don't really like it that much though. It's a mini SUV, but it's smaller than our mini van! I have to sit behind my dad, because we're pretty sure if Raven did, her knees would be crammed up against the seat. I don't really mind sitting behind dad though. Okay, well the ride took a long time that's for sure. Maybe, four and a half, but that's not a definite. Anyways, once we got to our hotel, I was instantly impressed. It's like, SUPER modern, and the colors all fit together so well! It has an indoor pool, and a hot tub, and we got a Queen Suite! It has a mini kitchen, and when I say mini, I mean TINY. The sink is about a foot long, and half a foot wide! I will take a picture of it eventually though. Anyways there are two queen beds, and my parents decided they would each take one, and Raven and I could have the sofa bed. Grrrr. But, when I was going to open the sofa bed, I discovered that it was too small to fit! It was about an in and a half, maybe two inches too big, because it was hitting the entertainment thingy, where the TV is. We haven't even turned the TV on yet, because I've been perfectly occupied with my laptop. Anyways, my dad pushed the TV back, and there still wasn't enough room. He pushed the couch over, and now it works, but my sister and I have to climb over each other to get to the bathroom, because you can't walk to the other side of the room when it's out! And, when we finally got it open, we discovered that the mattress was WAY too small. There was about two feet of room that was just the frame. We pushed the mattress over a little, and then we put the sofa cushions down. But, they kept sliding apart and there were gaps and stuff. I got my sister to sleep on that side. =) But there was another problem with our room. The kitchen! It doesn't have a stove! All we have is a microwave, a TINY sink, and a mini fridge. That's it! So much for a kitchen. Oh, and there isn't a closet or a dresser! Under the TV, where it's sitting, there's a TINY shelf, and under that is a TINY drawer. So, I'm using the cabinet under the sink, but I have to keep my stuff to one side in case the sink leaks. My sister took the space under the TV. I say, the right side of the room is hers, and the left is mine. Mostly because I wanted the lamp. I will post pictures, so you can see more about what in the world I'm talking about! Oh, I also forgot to mention on other thing about the sofa bed. The mattress? It's about two inches thick. It's sleep able, but not the most comfortable. It does have free breakfast though, I haven't had any yet, but my sis tells me that there's a waffle maker, and I instantly decide that this is my favorite hotel. And it is, but not because of the waffles. I just think it's nice a modern, and they have these little laptop tables for the couch, and I'm in LOVE with them! Oh, and I'm writing a new book! I don't know if I'm going to change the name or not, but right now it's The California Sun. And of course, it's a Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys Super Mystery. And, my dad just confirmed my suspicions, he went down to eat earlier, and now he's back, and he said, "Anna, good news. There IS a waffle maker." Yay! Wish me luck!

Love, Anna and Kate
